My On-the-Job Training Experience: Learning and Growing in the Workplace

      As a college student, I knew that one of the requirements for my degree was to complete an on-the-job training (OJT) program. I was excited and nervous at the same time because I didn't know what to expect. However, after being 1 month in my OJT, I can say that it was a valuable experience that helped me grow both personally ang peofessionally.

      During my OJT, I was assigned to an accounting office. As an IT student I was thrilled because I knew that I could learn a lot from them. I was tasked with assisting the office and my supervisors with their tasks.


     As I spent more time in the office, I became more confident and comfortable with my responsibilities. I started to contribute more to the team and took on more challenging task. I also learned how to communicate effectively with my colleagues and clients. My OJT experience taught me the importance of teamwork professionalism, and time management.
